Every year my peach tree is loaded, but just before they ripen, the peaches rot on the tree. Why?

Are they turning brown? That's called "brown rot". In commercial farming, they douse the fruit trees with a strong chemical to deter this disease from setting in. To keep it from coming back, you must totally clean your garden. Rake up ALL fallen leaves from under the infected tree, and remove ALL rotten fruit and "mummies" from the tree as soon as possible. Brown rot is spred via spores, so you want all sources removed.

Picking the fruit before it ripens is best. And any fruits that turn brown, remove promptly from the tree so you can keep those from spreading the rot.

maybe god is playing a joke on you, or the peach fairy is
Reply:Pick them before they are fully ripe. That's what we do sometimes.
Reply:i had this happen to in my orchard and i spray surfar all summer long that is ever 7 to 10 days and this will end the rot the same for alot of apples to but first just spray a small amount to see if the spray will damage and if it does go to next for differnt kinds are more tolerabler then others;don"t miss the dorment spray befor buds come for that is a big factor.
Reply:You probably have blossom end rot - a fungus that can be stopped by spraying the tree with a sulfa solution before the leaf and flower buds burst in spring. Check at your local garden centre for the Dormant Spray solution. This is 2 solutions that are applied early as mentioned above. The second solution is to stop overwintering insects before they emerge to play havoc with the tree and fruit too. Both solutions are organic and not harmful to any plant life or human life either.
