Peach faced lovebird or budgie?

which is more happy, playful, gentle, and loving

Peach faced lovebird or budgie?
Budgie, definitely. =)

Reply:Budgies are the only choice between these two birds ... peach faced lovebirds should ALWAY be purchased in PAIRS because they really do need a 'bird friend' they can snuggle with, and if you have two birds in the same cage, they'll always play more with each other and be more loving with each other than with you.
Reply:Budgies are active alright, they cheep there all day.

Lovebirds are more calm, and I hear they bit a lot.
Reply:GET A LOVEBIRD! Lovebirds are the cutest and most playful bird I have EVER owned... Budgie's in my opinion are boring and lame! Lovebirds are gentle, willing and fun to handle. You, don't need 2 lovebirds! Thats a lie. And if you get 1 lovebird it will attach to you instead of like another lovebird! They love to snuggle and play with you. Sure, it might be a little bit more money, but it's soo worth it. The only thing is is that they LOVE to sing and chirp during the day.

Reply:The budgie holds the record for the larges vocabulary.

This one has over 800 words.

I have never known a budgie that wouldn't sleep with it's head in a Liberty Bell if given the chance.

Reply:I happen to prefer lovebirds to budgies. They're a little larger, LOVE to play with their people and toys, and very interactive when you have a hand raised one. They do not need to be kept in pairs. A single lovebird that gets interaction with it's owner everyday will be just as happy as any other bird.

It's also usually much harder to find an already hand tame budgie than a lovebird. Most breeders only sell their budgies for $5-20, so they don't see the need to put in the effort that goes into hand raising one. Lovebirds while a little more expensive (anywhere from $30-100 from a breeder), are usually more interactive pets.

If you can find a tame budgie they're fantastic too though... It's more a personal choice then I guess, as long as you can find a hand raised bird of each.
