What's so different about a Georgia Peach?

Everywhere I go (around here in MO) there are signs out "We have Georgia Peaches"!

Are they sweeter?

Are they juicer?

Should I buy some?

What's so different about a Georgia Peach?
He's gay!

Oh, wait. You meant the actual thing. I couldn't tell you. Fruit might kill me if I eat it.
Reply:Thanks. I think a couple of people must have thought I was being a bigot. Sadly, they must not know the person on here named "Georgia Peach." Report It

Reply:I have no idea. But the person here sure is nice. xD

(Sorry I can't be too helpful... but I wanted to answer. I need to occupy my time right now; I have to ensure that I'm doing something at all times.)
Reply:There are pretty girls in every state, unless you are talking about the fruit. LOL I guess it must be the red clay, that makes them so desirable. Those Georgia folks just think they are so great with their Peach pies and cobblers.. Come to Florida,we have way better orange and grapefruit pies.
Reply:It's not just ANY Georgia peach that's so good. The best peaches are called Georgia Belle Peaches and they're only available in August each year. This year, however, we had a VERY late frost that killed almost ALL of the peach crop.

Georgia Belles are a white meated peach and they're very sweet. When they're ripe, they're kind of mushy, but they're so sweet that they melt in your mouth like M %26amp; Ms.

Whatever you see in the store might be Georgia peaches, but there's nothing too special about them unless they're Georgia Belles. And unfortunately, you won't find any of them this year b/c we can't even get 'em here in Georgia this year.
Reply:I always thought a Georgia Peach was a pretty young lady from Georgia.
Reply:They slide into 2nd base "Spikes High"!(Ty Cobb was called the "Georgia Peach")
Reply:Italian peaches R mo better.

Reply:THE SWEETEST!!!!

You couldn't get any better!! :)
Reply:According to Rachel Ray...the Georgia peaches are sweeter because they have a longer spring season to mature.

Because of the late freezes in places in Georgia this year, they may not be up to the usual standards this year....try one this year and see what you think and if you don't like it, try again the next year that they don't have a late freeze.
Reply:They are very sweet, quite similar to the sun-bronzed Italian peaches that are so popular. ;)
Reply:Ok....why dun you buy them and taste them and tell me, cos I want to buy too...
Reply:I have heard a lot about those "Georgia Peaches"
