Original recipe yield: 1 - 9x13 inch cobbler





INGREDIENTS


1 cup all-purpose flour


1/2 cup brown sugar


1/2 cup white sugar


2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


3/4 cup milk


1/2 cup margarine, melted


1 (29 ounce) can sliced canned peaches, drained


1 teaspoon ground cinnamon





DIRECTIONS


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).


In a large bowl, combine flour, sugars, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Pour milk into dry ingredients and then stir in melted margarine. Mix thoroughly.


Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Arrange peaches on top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes

Peach Cobbler


1/2 tsp cinnamon,ground


1 Tbsp vanilla extract


2 Tbsp cornstarch


1 cup peach nectar


1/4 cup pineapple juice or peach juice (from canned peaches)


2 16-oz cans peaches, sliced, packed in juice, drained [or 1 3/4 lbs fresh peaches, sliced]


1 Tbsp margarine (tub)


melted nonstick cooking oil spray


1 cup pancake mix


2/3 cup all-purpose flour


1/2 cup sugar


2/3 cup evaporated skim milk


Topping:


1/2 tsp nutmeg


1 Tbsp brown sugar


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine cinnamon, vanilla, cornstarch, peach nectar, and pineapple or peach juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add sliced peaches to mixture. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.


Lightly spray an 8-inch square glass dish with cooking oil spray. Pour hot peach mixture into the dish. In another bowl, combine pancake mix, flour, sugar, and melted margarine.


Stir in milk. Quickly spoon this mixture over the peach mixture. Combine nutmeg and brown sugar. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into 8 squares.

Reply:Drain the liquid off and make the cobbler as if you had fresh peaches. Freeze the syrup until you have enough to use on pancakes.
Reply:Here is one, very simple Receipe; Mix tog 1 Cup EACH of self-rising flour, sugar, %26amp; milk; set this aside. Melt 1 whole stick of butter in your baking dish ( I used a glass square); then pour the mixture over the butter, but do not stir it in. Open/drain a large can of Sliced-Peaches %26amp; put the slices over the top. Bake at 350 an half-an-hour or so until done. The self-rising flour will cause the dough to ride to the top, during baking. You need not add anything else to this.

pour margarine in square pan, mix 1st 4 ingredients together, pour into


pan. mix peaches, including juice, with sugar, pour over batter. bake 375


F. for 45 - 50 minutes, until golden brown.

PEACH COBBLER CAKE





1 c. flour


2 tsp. baking powder


1 c. sugar


3/4 c. milk


1 stick butter


1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches (do not drain)





Preheat oven for 300 degrees.


Beat flour sugar and milk together. Melt butter, pour flour into large oblong 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour butter in center of this. Do not stir. Pour peaches and juice over top. Bake 45 minutes.
Reply:just drain the water from the peaches.
