Peach Tree Accounting???
Peachtree only holds open G/L information for two years.

Detail information, like Invoices and Payables accumulate until you purge them from the system. However, the system cannot use that detail to create a financial report.

Each time you close a year the software makes you create a backup file called %26lt;filename%26gt;.ptb - this file can be used and restored to a different location (make sure you do not overwrite your current copy) to print out needed reports.

When in doubt go to the search function in windows and search for *.ptb and it will show all the peachtree backup files on your computer and the date thet were made.

I have a "live copy" of peachtree open for each set of two years so that I can always get at the data for all of my clients, I'm a CPA.

Good luck.
Reply:same here. u should be able to go back all the way to 2001. when u pull down the screen go to the exact date.

  1. Peachtree Accounting's Release 2009 added multi-year reporting. General Ledger reports and Financial Statements functionality allow you to report on data outside of two open years.
