2. Hi.
======
This is my first walkthrough for a Nintendo DS game. I fell in love with this
game almost instantly after seeing it, for three reasons:
1. Peach is the main character.
2. This game is all about Peach rocking faces.
3. Mario gets kidnapped... again.
Shazam. You can't get much better than that. As a die-hard Luigi fan, I'm
pretty happy that Mario gets captured. Too bad Luigi gets jacked as well.
I decided to write this walkthrough because the DS is great and I felt like
expanding from my widely-used Pokemon walkthroughs, also found at GameFAQs.
The following is taken from the Instruction Booklet. It should give you an idea
of just what's going on in Super Princess Peach:
"This is Vibe Island, located a short distance away from the Mushroom Kingdom.
Bowser got his hands on the Vibe Scepter hidden here and used its strange
powers to capture Mario and his friends. Princess Peach was out for a walk when
the raid happened, so you can imagine her surprise when she returned to the
castle. In order to help Mario and his friends, Peach, along with a magical
umbrella named Perry headed off for Vibe Island. Will Peach and Perry manage to
save everyone?"
We already know the answer to that. Of course they will. How else do you beat
the game?
============
2a. Controls [lesgo]
============
If you want to complete the game, you'll have to master the controls. Shouldn't
be _too_ hard... right?
This is also taken from the Instruction Booklet.
L - (Map Screen) Open the menu; L+D-pad left or right = walk slowly.
R - (Map Screen) Go to the Shop; R+D-pad left or right = walk slowly.
Start - Open the Pause menu
Select - Hold in conjunction with Start, L, and R to soft reset.
D-pad - Run/Pick up enemies you've stomped (left/right); squat (down). In
the menu, use to make a selection.
X - Pick things up/Put things down
A - Jump. In the menu, use to confirm.
B/Y - Attack with Perry/Break blocks/Throw items you're carrying. In the
menu, use to cancel or go back to previous screen.
=========================
3. A Peachy Introduction! [gamon]
=========================
Once your game is loaded, press Start (you can press A to skip watching Peach
fly downwards) to come to the file select screen. Here, you can start a new
game or continue a previous one. Up to three files can be saved. The game
automatically saves when you beat a level, so there is no function to save.
If you overwrite a file, there is no getting it back. Be cautious.
On the top screen, Perry will instruct you on how to select a file. I find it
easier to use the D-pad unless I already have the stylus in hand. Use whichever
you wish and select "New Game."
The game will then introduce you to Vibe Island and take you through the back
story of how Mario gets owned.
The game takes you to Bowser's summer villa on Vibe Island, where he awaits
word on the Vibe Scepter, a mysterious item he plans on using to defeat Mario.
A black-shelled Hammer Bro rushes in, knocking the Goomba and Koopa guards
silly. Vibe Scepter in hand, he eagerly makes the report that it has been
found. Well duh. Bowser tells him to pipe down. Bowser asks the idiot (also
known as you, the player) to shut the door. Take out the stylus and tap the
door and it will shut. If you take too long, the guards will come to their
senses and shut it for you.
Hammer Bro decides to test the Vibe Scepter's power. He gives it to the
Goomba guard and asks him to infiltrate the Mushroom Kingdom and wave the Vibe
Scepter around.
Cut to the Hammer Bro and two Koopas waiting behind a bush as the Goomba
walks into Peach's Castle. When you are prompted, say "all clear" into the
microphone. If you take too long, they will get the signal anyway. A flood of
Koopas rush Peach's Castle.
In the next scene, the Koopas congratulate themselves on their success. Mario,
Luigi, and a Toad are bound with rope. Luigi waits quietly to be taken away,
but Mario is constantly fighting, trying to free himself, but to no avail. At
least Luigi knows when not to fight. Sucker.
Hammer Bro reports to Bowser that guards now watch Mario's cell, along with
Luigi and Toad. Apparently, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong
time. Hammer Bro decides to test the Vibe Scepter's limits, and so he asks
the Goomba to return.
The Goomba staggers in with the Vibe Scepter, unable to walk straight. Out of
nowhere, he immediately stops and begins dancing, frantically waving the Vibe
Scepter, releasing its power. Everyone in the room enters a frenzy of random
emotions.
Enter Princess Peach Toadstool, back from her walk with another Toad and
Toadsworth. Naturally, they are surprised at the sight before them. Inside, all
the Toads have been afflicted with the same random emotion flurry seen before.
One Toad notices a note attached to a pillar, which states that Mario has been
kidnapped. Peach immediately recognizes it as Bowser's work. The Toads are
freaking out because there's no one to save Mario.
Notice how no one cares that Luigi's gone? Man.
Anyway, Peach is gonna have none of that. She offers to go get him herself and
walks off. Toadsworth panics, as usual, and runs after her. He comes back and
instructs one of the Toads to calm everyone down or you're going to get hurt.
Use the stylus to control the stationary Toad. Use him to push other Toads off-
screen. That's pretty much it. Meanwhile on the top screen, Toadsworth gives
Peach an bad guy-hating umbrella named Perry. After that, your mini-game ends
and you are taken to the map screen of the first area.
================
4. Ladida Plains [wrld1]
================
You can press R to go to the shop, but you have no coins right now. The shop is
where you can purchase new abilities and other neat stuff. You get three
abilities by default: Slide, Hill Slide, and Bowlbrella. Pause the game at any
time and choose Abilities to see what they do. Now to enter the level. It's a
bit hard to see, but there's a black circle underneath Peach. Tap it or press A
to enter the first level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 1-1 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Almost immediately, you will notice a large picture of Peach on the touch
screen, surrounded by four hearts of four colors. These represent Peach's
vibes. They are, from top left going clockwise:
Joy Vibe: Peach is surrounded by wind. If you hold the A button, she will
float. Use it when you need to fly across something, or to
dissipate fog.
Rage Vibe: Peach is smothered in flames. Use it to get heavy, burn bridges
made of wood or melt ice in your way.
Gloom Vibe: Peach cries. Use it to run faster, jump farther, make bean sprouts
grow, or to put out fires.
Calm Vibe: "Peach will get happy and refill her HP." Its only use is to
restore health when you can't find hearts or if you need some HP in
a pinch.
To use these vibes, simply touch them with the stylus. While in effect, they
will drain your Vibe Gauge. The speed at which it drains depends on the vibe
used. Gloom drains the slowest, followed by Calm, then Joy, and Rage will burn
through it quickly (no pun intended). Vibes will remain in effect until you
either tap the vibe again, tap a different vibe (it will go into effect), or
your Vibe Gauge empties. To refill the Vibe Gauge, you will need to find
crystals found throughout the levels. Alternatively, if you scoop an enemy with
X and press down on the D-pad, Perry will eat the enemy, which gives you a
little boost in vibe.
Shortly after beginning, you'll see a block with Perry's face on it. These are
help blocks; strike the ones on the ground with B or Y and jump to hit the ones
in the air, and Perry will give you some tips.
Continue right. Bust the bricks in front of you for some coinage. Continue
right, collecting coins along the way. Ignore the ladder for now and keep going
to find a large coin. Break all the bricks here and grab it. These large coins
are worth 5 coins. Go up the ladder and jump on the pipe. Press down on the D-
pad to descend.
Did you see Peach's reaction change on the touch screen? She will do this every
time you enter an area with a Toad that hasn't been rescued or another item of
interest is in this room. Three Toads are in each stage, and it's your job to
get them all. Move towards the Goomba. Scoop the ball and toss it with Y at the
Goomba and he'll give you a coin. Toss the ball at the blue hovering thing and
it'll drop some coins.
After this is a box. Inside is a Toad. Attack it to smash open the pink prison
and free the first Toad. Continue right and go down the pipe.
You will see two crystals in your path. One crystal will almost completely fill
your Vibe Gauge. Move back left and jump on the pipe. Activate Joy (the orange
one) and fly up to the platform. Run into the box with the note on it for Peach
Voice 1. More on that later. If you screw up, go down the pipe and return here
to have the crystals return. Use this method to refill your Vibe Gauge after
you get it. Drop down and continue. Go down the pipe for some coins. Return and
continue. Another pipe, more coins.
See the sprout in the ground? Activate Gloom (the blue one) and it'll grow. Run
across the blocks left, gathering coins. You will jump higher if you get a
running start, so do that to get those out-of-reach coins. Come back to the
vine, drop down, and continue.
When you get to the gap, drop down to find an enemy and another Toad. Jump up
the platforms and across the gap. Down the pipe you go.
Scoop the Goomba and toss him at the blue thing to get more coins. Free the
final Toad and move to the end of the first level. Jump and hit one of the
symbols in the ring to end your level. You get coins depending on what symbol
you get.
Star = 50 coins (Sometimes when you get stars you randomly get 777 coins)
Flower = 30 coins
Mushroom = 10 coins
Turnip = 1 coin
You will be back on the map screen.
If you press L, you can go to the Music Room where you can listen to the Peach
Voice 1 you just got. Remember when you turned the game on, Peach said
"Nintendo?" That's pretty much it. You'll get more music scores like this
throughout your adventure. Most will need to be purchased in the shop, but in
my opinion it's a waste of coins until you've bought the essentials. And the
essentials get real expensive, real quick.
Also in the L menu is the Glossary. It's a list of every enemy you've
encountered in your adventure, otherwise known as a bestiary. Wahoo.
On to the second level!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 1-2 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Tempting, isn't it? Jump on the Koopa. Swallow him, then scoop the shell. Toss
it into the Goomba line and get coins. Continue to follow the shell. Watch it
bounce of the wall, then jump over it and backtrack to get even more coins.
Jump on the pink brick and activate Joy. Ascend and free the first Toad. Get a
crystal, then activate Joy again. Follow the coin-and-crystal path, then shut
it off. Swallow enemies to refill the Vibe Gauge.
Continue right and go down the pipe. Activate Joy and go down the pipe to your
left. Break the bricks and go on. Run across the gaps to collect the coins,
then drop down through them. Free the second Toad. Jump up the platforms and
step on the blue things (henceforth referred to as donut bricks since I'm not
sure what they're _really_ called) and drop down. Collect Puzzle A Piece 5
(more on that later) and go up the platforms again. Continue right and go down
the pipe.
Moving along. Free the final Toad. Down the pipe.
Use the Koopa shells to knock the rest of their pals out to get some coins. End
of level.
This is when I bought Floatbrella. I suggest you buy it now, too, as it's one
of the best abilities Perry has. When you are prepared, enter level 3.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 1-3 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Step on the bridge and activate Rage. The bridge will burn, allowing you to get
the coins and another piece for Puzzle A. Shut the vibe off as soon as you
activate it, as it eats your energy quickly. Jump back up and move on. Use the
platforms to get across.
A bunch of Goombas are partially covering a sprout. Activate Gloom and ascend
the stalk. Quickly run across the donut bricks. These brown ones don't fall as
fast as the blue ones do, so you'll have about a second to get off it or it
falls. Collect the coins, then drop down. The first Toad is here.
Go down the pipe. Move right and stand next to the blue donut bricks. Activate
Gloom and rush across them, then go up the pipe by jumping while holding up.
Activate Joy and free the second Toad. Use the Goombas for sustenance. Down the
pipe and go.
Drop down and continue right. Pick the Goomba up and toss it at the blue
hovering thing for some coins. Use the Red Paratroopa to get up to the top
platform. Go up the pipe. Follow the path (be sure to whack the Volcano Plant
in your way) and activate Joy once you get to the fluff. After it breaks, shut
Joy off and free the final Toad. Up the pipe, drop down, down the pipe.
Nothing else to do but complete the level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 1-4 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Whack the Piranha Plant in your way to kill it. Jump on the trampoline and hold
A before you jump to jump higher. Scoop the trampoline and carry it to the next
set of coins. Keep in mind that you can kill enemies using the trampoline, and
they will drop a coin every time. Continue right. Scoop the trampoline and set
it in front of the blue donut bricks. Jump to the top and collect the coins.
Come back to the trampoline and activate Gloom. Dash across the donut bricks
and free the first Toad. Drop down, go right, down the pipe at the end.
The Nipper Plant will jump if you try to jump over him, so just whack him and
be done with it. Move right and scoop the trampoline. Carry it left and drop it
underneath the platform with the crystal. Collect it, then move to the next one
and get the heart. Carry it to the dead end and jump over the wall. Scoop the
new trampoline and carry it with you to the end. Jump on the brown platform and
drop the trampoline. Jump up to the wall above and run right. Slide down the
hills and get a bunch of coins. Backtrack to the pipe and descend.
To your right is a large trampoline. See the gap? Hold A to power your jump,
then hug the wall to fall in the gap. The second Toad is here. Jump to the top
and go down the pipe.
Move to the bridge and activate Rage to burn it down. Scoop an enemy or the
ball and toss it at the blue hover thing for coins. To the left of the pipe at
the bottom is the final Toad. Get back up top and continue right. With a
running start, press down as soon as you get to the tiny space and you will
slide underneath it. Do the same to get back out. Scoop the trampoline and
manually jump left up the platforms. Set the trampoline down and collect all
the coins here, moving the trampoline along the way. If you bought the
Floatbrella ability, this is a bit easier. Rescoop the trampoline and carry it
to another dead-end. Jump the wall, drop down, and go down the pipe.
Power jump up and left. Jump up and collect another piece of Puzzle A. Go left
and maneuver your way up the platforms. Bob-ombs will explode shortly after
being stomped on - just eat them. Be quick, though, as they'll explode after
you pick them up, too! Nothing more to do but complete the level.
I bought Poundbrella at this point.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 1-5 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Jump on the Koopa and ram his shell into the enemies. Drop down the hole to
your right and get a couple coins. When you see the coin arrow, activate Joy
and fly up to a platform where the first Toad is. Drop down and continue. Scoop
a Bob-omb and run to the end. Quickly toss it at the blue hover thing for
coins. Jump across the platforms and go down the pipe. Go right and you'll find
a puzzle piece. Go back and jump across the gap. Burn the bridge with Rage and
free the second Toad. Enter the pipe.
You'll notice there are mushrooms of 3 colors: red, blue, and purple. The
mushrooms are all jumping different heights, with red being the weakest jumper,
blue being next strongest, and purple being the best jumper. Jumping has
nothing to do with it; you only need to worry about the color. Go down the pipe
on the right.
Hit the flowers in the same order the mushrooms were in; red, blue, purple. You
are also timed; take too long and you'll have to start over. Go down the pipe
on the right. Now there are four mushrooms. Go down the pipe on the right.
Strike the flowers in the order red, purple, blue, red. Continue.
Five mushrooms this time: blue, purple, red, red, blue.
Strike the flower next to you. Drop down left and nail the purple one. Take the
green platform up to the top and jump to the next area. Jump up and fall down
to take out a red flower. Drop to where the first blue flower was and fall
right to get the other red flower. Then use the platform or Joy to reach the
top. Fall to hit the last flower. Eat the Bob-omb. Go down the newly-formed
pipe to end this little mini-game.
Hit the Piranha Plant and move along.
You'll need to use Bowlbrella here. You can't whack while in the water, but if
you jump and scoop, you can take out the Cheep Cheeps. If you have Floatbrella,
you can just float over it. The hole is bad this time, avoid falling down it.
Bowlbrella your way across the water and down the pipe you go.
Time to combine vibes! Go to the sprout and activate Gloom. Jump up the stalk
and fire up Joy. Free the final Toad. End the level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* BOSS STAGE 1-6 BOSS STAGE *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
For every boss stage, you will need to do a mission using only the stylus
before progressing to the boss. For this area, you need to make Peach bounce up
to the goal ring using only the worm things you bounce on. The plateau is just
a background, don't try to land on it. If you fall, that's fine. I did it a
couple times trying to get the coins. I find if you aim a little lower than a
platform, you will catch it instead of falling to your doom. When you complete
it, you can skip it if you die at the boss.
Once at the top, go down the pipe to encounter the first boss: Petey Piranha.
The game calls him Boss P. Plant, but we all know who he is.
Petey has three attacks. The first is to emit sound waves from his mouth. These
don't damage you, but will push you away. The second of his attacks is to face
the screen and send two shockwaves on both sides of him. These will hurt, so
jump over them. The last attack he'll do is upchuck a Nipper Plant and a
crystal. Eat the Nipper Plant and collect the Crystal to restore the Vibe
Gauge.
When the battle starts, Petey will sit there like an idiot with his mouth open.
You can't do much about that until you can actually reach him. Use Gloom to
make the stalk in front of him grow. Dodge his attacks and restore your vibes.
When he opens his mouth again, jump to the top of the stalk and let loose with
Gloom. Make sure Peach's tears land in his mouth. He will fall over in pain
after downing enough of the liquid. This is your chance to strike. Simply jump
on his exposed (and flashing) belly button to damage him.
Now hit him twice more.
After three hits, Petey will fly, flash colors, and then stay red. He'll drop
to the ground again. After this happens, he will fire two shockwaves instead of
one and toss out two or three Nipper Plants (as well as a crystal) a time. If
your HP are getting low, stay off to the side and quickly use Calm to restore
health.
Strike him twice more in the normal fashion to defeat him.
After his defeat, Peach will rush to the now-saved Toad, toss Perry aside, and
twirl the Toad around.
Cut to a scene with Peach and Perry sitting by a fire under a starry night sky.
You get to bear witness to a dream Perry is having. Well, that was quick. His
comment afterwards reminds me of Ezlo in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
Will Perry be the same way? Who knows? Perry is anxious to beat up some bad
guys, so let's go! Onward, to area 2!
=============
5. Hoo's Wood [wrld2]
=============
Before entering, check out the shop. You can buy more sounds, as well as Puzzle
A Piece 1. Also, be sure to buy Vibe Tea and Tough Coffee. They increase in
price with every purchase, but they will help you a lot. Vibe Tea increases
your Vibe Gauge slightly, and Tough Coffee increases your max HP by 1/2 heart.
I suggest buying each of them once before moving to area 2 so you are better
prepared.
Note that buying Puzzle A Piece 1 for 10 coins will allow you more pieces, up
to Piece 4. After that, you'll have to find the rest.
Don't waste your coins on Chargebrella just yet. You use it once in the main
game, and a few more times after you beat it. You will eventually have so many
coins you won't know what to do with them all. Save your coins.
And just who is Hoo, anyway? Maybe we'll find out. If you haven't already, buy
the Floatbrella ability, as it will be needed shortly.
You can also go back and defeat any boss you've already defeated for 50 coins
every time after the first time.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 2-1 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
The Red Paratroopa won't hit you, so don't worry. Just don't jump up. Go left.
See the bricks now have a green pattern on them? Bust 'em up and get your coin.
Ascend the tree closest to you. When you get to the top, jump left and go up
the pipe. The Sad Nipper Plants will lunge at you with a high jump if you get
close, so be careful. Use Joy to fly up and get the coins. Eat the plants for
energy, then Joy yourself up the other side to free the first Toad. If you run
out of Joy, bounce on the Red Paratroopa to land on the platform. You can also
hit the block on your way down if you miss.
A few coins are at the top of the second tree. Fall between the second and
third trees and strike the ! block once to make a platform appear. If you hit
it again, it will vanish, so hit it a third time to make it reappear. Head to
the right to find another ! block. Hit it to reveal a second platform. Ascend
the tree nearest you and utilize these platforms to move on.
In the next area, Bowlbrella yourself left to get some coins. Use the platforms
to continue right. Watch out for the Mad Paratroopa and keep going left. Go
down a pipe to enter a side area. Nothing special here, just get to the end.
You will emerge directly under the pipe you went down before. Free the second
Toad, then continue right. Go up the pipe. Continue left and you will get some
coins and the score for Ladida Plains 2. It's okay if you fall, as this area is
simply higher than the main area; just go back up the pipe when you get to it.
Move on when you're ready. Avoid falling in the water here, as you can't
progress while in it. Enter the pipe.
The final Toad lies in front of you, so bust through the bricks and free him.
You'll see an annoying Paragoomba that drops tiny Goombas that stick to you and
severely restrict your jumping. Jump repeatedly to shake them all off. Enter
the pipe on the top.
Bullet Bills will periodically fly at you from both directions, so don't get
hit. Move right. Scoop the ball and toss it at the blue hover thing for a
heart, a crystal, and a lot of coins. The end of the level is just ahead.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 2-2 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Your first automatically scrolling board! If you fall behind, you won't get
left behind and die. Rather, Peach will simply be pushed as if there were a
wall to your left.
It should be noted that you can't jump on the Spinies because of their spiny
shell. Eat them instead. They require two hits to defeat. When you get to the
end, go down the pipe.
Well, so much for scrolling boards. Continue right. An odd fruit will fall from
a tree... Puzzle A Piece 9 is in plain sight. Keep moving.
Use Floatbrella to collect the heart and crystal without enlisting the help of
the Red Paratroopa. Get the coins from above, then move right. Floatbrella
across the spikes and enter the pipe.
See the Toad? You need Floatbrella to save him. Jump off the cliff, but don't
hold A until you're below the overhanging ledge. Quickly float to the Toad and
release him. Jump back up and continue to the end of this area. Ravens will
walk the perimeter of the platforms they're on... they can be jumped on or
eaten.
You'll notice Lakitu as soon as you enter this area. Whack him and you will be
able to abuse his cloud for yourself for a short time. Leave him alone for now
and continue right, busting up the giant bricks as you go. You'll come across
two bricks in between two platforms relatively quickly. Kill Lakitu (if you
killed him before, he will eventually respawn, so just be patient) and board
his cloud by jumping on it. Use the D-pad to move straight up and a little to
the right to find a high up platform with lots of giant bricks. Break them all
for treasure. Go back and drop down, then continue. Go down the pipe.
You'll see a large water wheel in the water, but it's not moving. Use Gloom to
turn the wheel, and you'll unlock something. Go left and down the pipe. A new
pipe has emerged just to the left of this one, so go down it.
Rage the bridge and go right. Bust all the bricks for lots of coins. Fall left.
Free the second Toad, then use the giant trampoline to return to the pipe.
Enter and go back down the pipe you went down before.
Jump over the water and move along. Free the final Toad and complete the level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 2-3 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Almost immediately you will see a Glad Piranha Plant. It's orange, floats up
and down, and spews the occasional fireball. Whack it to defeat it.
Continue all the way right, killing Piranha Plants and avoiding spikes along
the way. When you get to the end, backtrack to the pipe that is stuck in the
ground and use Joy to get to the platform above. Move across the moving
platforms and go up the pipe at the end.
Slide under the wall and work your way around to the first Toad. Slide under
the wall again and exit this area. Drop to your right and enter the pipe.
To get the coins in the little alcove, jump as you slide down the hill. Fall
down the hole and use Gloom on the water wheel. Go left and down the pipe to go
back to the beginning.
Remember the pipe that was stuck in the ground? It's not stuck anymore.
Backtrack to this spot and enter the pipe. In this area, wind will blow to the
left, hindering your running speed. You will see Banzai Bills flying around,
but they can be quickly defeated with a whack or jump. You can scoop them, too.
The second Toad lies at the end. Now you can progress again.
Back in the area with the water wheel, instead jump over the hole so you don't
fall down again. Go up the hill and jump up and right. Continue right and drop
down for Puzzle A Piece 10. Get back up, then go up and left for some coins.
Head right to exit this area.
Gee, more wind. Bust open the blue hovering thing. Work your way to the right.
A Volcano Plant spits fire from above, so be wary. the Mad Paratroopas aren't
affected by the wind, so keep that in mind. Continue on the path until you get
to the end. Go up the ladder and now go left across the upper path. Down the
pipe you go.
Use Joy on the windmill blades to spin them. Slide down the hill to enable you
to jump to the final Toad. Level exit dead ahead.

This level scrolls up! Climb the ladders to reach the end, avoiding the Sad
Paragoombas along the way. Claim the 11th piece to Puzzle A and get down the
pipe.
See the mini-game bubble in front of you? You can't miss it. Get it, then move
on. Jump to the brown platform and use the green moving platforms to get to the
other side. Gloom your way across the blue donut bricks and slash with Perry to
free the first Toad. Down the pipe.
Watch for the Piranha Plant here. Jump across the rolling logs and continue.
Use Gloom on the sprout and then scoop the Nipper Plant. Carry it to the top of
the stalk and use it to open one of the blue hover balls for _lots_ of coins.
Drop down and repeat on the other ball, then continue to the next area.
See those bats? They hate fire. Use Rage to make them scatter. Jump up the
pipe.
Break the bricks and slide under the walls. You'll need a small running start
to make it. Jump up to the top when you reach the end and use Joy to spin the
blades to open the path. Refill your Vibe Gauge by eating Goombas that pop out
of the enemy pipe. When you're ready, free the second Toad and backtrack to
where you came from.
Continue right. Sad Ravens will scream on occasion, which will damage you if
you are too close. Continue to the next area.
Wait until the Glad Ptooie tosses the spiked ball to the side before trying to
jump over it. Get down and whack the enemy to kill it. The ball will drop, so
wait for that to happen before moving on. Free the final Toad.
Break the bricks and scoop the trampoline. Carry it across the water until you
reach the end. Jump up to the moving platforms and work your way left, then
right using the upper platform. Fall to the right to end the level.

Head right until you get to the pipe. Go up it. Get the crystals, then Gloom
across the blue donut bricks, jumping over enemies. Rage the bats at the other
side and free the first Toad on the other side of the pipe.
Drop down to get coins and Puzzle A Piece 12, which will complete the puzzle.
Go back to the beginning and head down the pipe. Go right and down the pipe.
Now, you should see a yellow something swimming at the top of the waterfall,
back and forth. This is the star enemy Perry is going to refer to in a help
block just ahead of here. It's in three worlds in the game, and Hoo's Wood is
one of them. Jump on the star enemy, and he'll fly away. Then continue. If you
don't see it, continue to go down the pipes repeatedly until you do; you will
be able to see him when you emerge, so don't go jumping to the other side to
see if he's there. Once you nail him, head to the right. When you get to the
end, jump on the green platform and then up to the top of the wall. Run across
it to find the second Toad at the end. Come back and go down the pipe.
After you emerge, jump up the pipe that's above you. Slide, jump, and
Floatbrella to get the coins in mid-air here. Back at the beginning, use Joy to
spin the blades. Drop down and bust through the bricks to free the final Toad.
Go to the end and down the pipe.
Head left. When you get to the platforms, use them to get into the smaller area
with coins. Drop down and head to the right. Be careful of the Sad Goombas
rushing the lower area. Use the trampoline to jump over the wall. End of level.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Use the stylus to spin the log in a clockwise fashion to make Peach ascend. The
more you spin, the faster you'll go up. You can spin counterclockwise to make
Peach slow down or descend if you go too high. You can watch the top screen to
know when the brambles are going to come. The things they shoot from will
wiggle before extending, so judge accordingly.
If you want to learn exactly how to defeat the boss, hit the help block. Go
down the pipe to encounter the second boss. The Glossary says this is Hoo.
Hoo has two attacks. The first is to toss three pellets at you. You can
whack these to make crystals pop out to restore your Vibe Gauge. For the
second, the boss will swoop down low at you. This is your chance to strike.
Jump on him as he makes his descent to deal damage. Do this twice more.
After the third strike, Hoo will change colors and destroy the platform
you're on, leaving Peach in a state of free fall.
Although it may seem harder, it's really not. Calm your HP back if necessary,
as the only thing the boss will do now is send out pellets that rotate around
the field. If you hit them, crystals may pop out; gather them to restore the
Vibe Gauge.
When you're ready to strike, use Joy. Hoo will put up a shield at this time and
cease attacking. When you're above the boss, turn it off and you will fall on
his head. Do this once more and you will emerge victorious.
Cut to the campfire scene, where we get to witness another of Perry's dreams.
He starts reminiscing, but quickly stops himself and urges Peach to move on.
No problems there. Area 3 awaits.

6. Shriek Mansion [wrld3]
=================
In the shop, you can buy the first four pieces of Puzzle B, as well as the
music "Hoo's Wood 1." Puzzle A is complete, so you can assemble it from the
menu. You get no rewards for doing it. The object is, obviously, to assemble
the puzzle as quick as you can. Once a piece is put in the right spot, it will
fade out and be locked in place. Double tap the pieces to spin them 90 degrees.
Go back to Ladida Plains and earn yourself enough coins to buy tea and coffee
again if you haven't already (each should cost 1000 coins after you do).
When you are ready to go, head to Shriek Mansion and enter the first level.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Your first enemy of area 3 is Dry Bones, and like every Dry Bones before him,
he can't be killed by normal means. You can't scoop him, and if you jump on
him, he will come back to life in a few seconds. The only way to destroy him is
to burn him up or toss something at him. The blocks in this area look like
stones; two large ones are at the far right as an example. Follow the path and
enter the open door by pressing up while standing in front of it.
Knock a Koopa down and kick his shell to obliterate the rest. Eat the remaining
shell and use Joy to hit the switch. Use Joy again to reach the platform that
is now accessible and free the first Toad. Exit through the door.
Continue left and enter another door you'll quickly come across. Use the ball
to take out the Dry Bones and open up the hovering ball. Enter the pipe on the
right.
You can jump through the wall on the far right for some coins. Go up the
ladder. When you get to the top, jump into the left wall to find the score for
Hoo's Wood 2. Continue upwards. When you get to the top, jump into the wall on
the right to find the second Toad. A crystal is in the left wall at the top.
Jump down and enter the pipe, then go left and through the door.
Use Joy and fly up and to the left. Enter the door. The final Toad is literally
right in front of you. Go all the way right and then use Joy to fly over the
left wall.
Boos can only be destroyed by Rage. Run and drop to your right and enter the
door there.
Collect the stuff above you, then continue right. Jump across the platforms and
go down the pipe.
In front of you is the Slidebrella ability, which you'll need in about two
seconds. Note there is no going backwards while on the ropes; only slow and
fast. There are no enemies here, so go as fast as you'd like. You will need to
jump, though, so don't just hold right. If you jump just as you reach the end,
blue sparks will fly out and you will jump higher and farther than normal.
In the next area, Sad Dry Bones will toss 3 bones in succession on occasion.
Slide under the wall to complete the level.

These Lakitu-like enemies are called Fishing Boo, and you can only destroy them
with Rage. When you get to the help block, use Joy to float straight up. The
first Toad awaits. Continue to the next area.
Run right and pick up the ball. Enter the right wall for a Puzzle B Piece 5 and
a floating ball. Ditch the ball and climb the ladder.
At the top, Rage the Boos if you need to, then run across the brown donut
bricks. Immediately jump through the "ceiling." The second Toad is hidden in
this secret room. Continue and run through the bottom left wall and enter the
pipe.
Collect the crystals and run left. In the bottom left corner is a lantern
you'll need to light with Rage. There are a four such lanterns. Rage quickly
depletes the Vibe Gauge, so be quick in using it. After lighting the two on the
left, go to the far right and light the two there. After all four are lit, the
door next to the pipe opens. Enter the door.
Use the trampolines to reach the top ! block. Simply hit the bottom one. Use
the newly formed platforms to continue.
In the next area, jump on the moving platform. Enter the middle of the three
pipes. You will need to use Joy to go upwards in order to continue, but you'll
also notice that while standing still, the wind surrounding Peach will
temporarily disperse the fog. It'll come back while Joy is off. It's not _too_
difficult to see through the fog, but if you're having trouble seeing, don't be
afraid to Joy it away. Crystals are not scarce in this area. The final Toad is
at the bottom near the end. Free him and go down the pipe to be brought to the
beginning of this area. Go down the pipe to be brought back to the main area.
Jump to the right. The three platforms here are very fragile, and will crumble
if you move too quickly. After jumping on them, hold L or R while running to
walk. I find it infinitely easier to just Floatbrella your way to each one. End
of the level is just after this.

Toss a Goomba at the hover ball. Use Joy to get the two big coins. Use the
Goombas that come from the pipe to fill the Vibe Gauge, then Joy up the middle.
Use Joy to get up the right side, then climb to the top to get Puzzle B Piece
6. Drop down and climb up the left side. The Lil' Sparkies can't be destroyed.
Enter the door at the top.
A Glad Fang will rush you quickly. Whack to dispose. Climb the ladder and run
across the ceiling for a heart and a crystal. Back on the ground, slide under
the two walls and continue right. Run up the stairs at the end and hit the
switch. Use Joy to reach the first Toad. Drop down and go down the pipe.
Another Fishing Boo pesters this area. Enter the first door you see.
Fall near the left wall and Rage the lantern. The next one to light is in the
middle, and the third is on the right. The door that opens is in the middle. If
you miss, fall to the bottom and enter the door there. You'll have to start
over, though. Enter the unlocked door and free the second Toad. After you're
back at the top, enter the door again to be brought back to the main area. Head
right into the next area.
If you hit the gray ! block, the caged Big Boo will be released. Lure it into
the light, where it will faint. Use it as a platform to reach the pipe above.
When you get control, move right as fast as you can. A horde of blindfolded
Boos will rush you, and you'll have to start over (as well as lose as 1/2
heart) if you are hit by them. You can't enter any of the pipes, so keep on the
move. The final Toad lies at the end of this area. The end lies a few steps
ahead.

A Koopa is walking towards you. See it?
You can use Rage to increase visibility, but that isn't recommended as your
Vibe Gauge will empty faster than you can say "Mario's a sucker and Luigi needs
to stop being treated like trash" 10 times fast. Tread carefully.
When you get to the stacked platforms, climb them and go left to find the first
Toad. Destroying the blue ball should be SOP by now. Enter the pipe when you
get to it for more Slidebrella-y fun! You'll have to actually jump over enemies
here, so be careful. At the end, free the second Toad and jump up to the main
area. Enter the door.
You will be given an option of three doors to enter. Enter the middle door.
Now enter the one on the right, and enter the door you emerge from. Again,
enter the door on the right. Enter the left door. Quickly kill the Glad Fang
and go left and down the pipe.
There is fog here that you can Joy away. On the bottom path, scoop a Paratroopa
or the ball and then go back and take the upper path. At the end, fall and bust
the ball, then go up the ladder and down the pipe.
The two Big Boos in this area mean nothing; dash your way to the end.
The first fragile platforms you'll find here you might have to walk on - there
isn't much space to jump. Continuing on you'll find Puzzle B Piece 7 in plain
view. To the right is the final Toad, but you have 3 fragile platforms to cross
first. I just Floatbrella'd over the first two and jumped off the third. Easy.
End of the level is just over a small gap.
I noticed Toad Jump Lv.2 was available at this point in the shop, but I just
might not have checked the shop thoroughly enough. You may need to beat Lv.1 to
have it available.

Use the giant trampolines to reach the top. Once there, jump off the right side
to find the first Toad. Down the pipe you saw before.
Unlike normal Boos, Mad Boos will chase you if you look at them. Follow the
path and go up the pipe. There are four lanterns to light again. You'll need to
use the blue donut bricks to reach two of them. Step quickly. Enter the door
that opens and free the second Toad. Back to the main area.
Use the moving platforms to reach the next section, where the blindfolded Boo
gang will rush you again, only in this level you get almost no free time. If
you keep moving, they aren't that hard to outrun. Scoop the ball and toss it at
the blue ball for lots and lots of coins. Slide under the platforms with the
Lil' Sparkies and jump over the one with the Hothead. Enter the door ahead.
Drop down immediately. Enter the door to the left of the heart (it's eight
doors from the left wall barring you from the Toad, Puzzle B Piece 8 is along
the way) and free the final Toad. Enter any other door to be brought to the
beginning. Jump over the donut bricks. When you get to the blue ones, you will
need to continuously keep jumping. Use Floatbrella if it helps.
In this darkened area, simply progress. I actually got nailed by a Bob-omb in
the darkness, so be careful. Run to the end.
Hit the turn block twice to flip the room upside-down. Drop in every gap to
reach the next area.
Do you see the sleeping Fishing Boo? If you run past him, he wakes up. Too bad
the end of the level is right in front of you. Slide underneath him and end
this level.
Sleeping enemies are called Calm enemies, and they will stay sleeping as long
as you walk, not run, in their immediate vicinity. If you wake them, they will
attack. You'll encounter a few more throughout your travels.

Repeatedly rub the stylus on the Boos as they try to attack Peach, who is
floating down towards the touch screen. Too easy.
This battle can be a bit long, but it's pretty easy. Your foe is King Boo.
At first, simply avoid the king. After a while, he will shoot three blue flames
that will slowly home in on you. Lure the flames to the four lanterns. Light
them all and you will damage King Boo. You can also use Rage to light them.
Strike the chandelier to make it swing. Hit it again to drop a crystal. The
chandelier will respawn after a while, so utilize it when you need a refill.
After three hits, the premise is pretty much the same; light all four lanterns.
The difference now is that King Boo is constantly crying, and he will put out
the lanterns as you light them. This is the time you must rely on Rage and not
the blue fire King Boo sends to light the lanterns. Pick a side and Rage the
bottom lantern. Use the trampoline to light the other one. Turn Rage off and
wait for King Boo to get near you. His tears, amazingly enough, will not reach
the ground if he's elevated enough. When he gets near you, Floatbrella over him
and light the other two. Fill the Vibe Gauge and repeat once more for victory.

Remember the white fog from Shriek Mansion? Same deal, except if you sit in it
too long, you get damaged. Joy it away, then turn it off and continue, busting
bricks and gathering crystals along the way. Enter the pipe at the end.
You'll have to use the boats to make your way across the lava. The second Toad

Tap the rocks with the stylus to break them. Small rocks take one tap, big
rocks take three taps, and huge rocks take five. It's not as easy as Shriek
Mansion, but it's still way easy.
The enemy is Wiggler, and the fight can be fairly tough if you don't know what
you're doing.
Wiggler has no attacks. All he does is walk around, waiting for you to strike.
What you need to do is stand on one of the springs in between the platforms and
wait for him to get close. Use Rage to push the spring down, then get off. When
it pops up, it will flip Wiggler over. One of his segments will turn blue. All
you need to do is normally jump on it to deal damage. He will then get angry
and rush back and forth, causing rocks to fall. The rocks contain crystals.
He'll soon calm down. Repeat twice more.
After three hits, Wiggler will shoot out a poisonous gas that is slow to build,
but will damage you if you leave it there. You'll have to continuously Joy it
away, but the damage-dealing method is essentially the same. Two more hits and
he's done for.
Watch another of Perry's dreams. He's starting to become more interested in

Use the moving platforms to reach the other side. Just continue on to the end.
Head right to the next area.
Jump up the blocks and use Gloom to wash the sand pillar away. Jump up to find

Go right. When you reach the trampoline, kill Lakitu and hijack his cloud. Take

Head right to the end. Jump on the arrows to move to the other side. Wait for

Alternatively, you could simply use Joy. When you reach the top, the second
Toad waits on the left side.
You'll have to jump quickly to the next arrow and duck when you're at the top.
You can also use Joy when you're near the top on the right side to get up there
easily. If you run out of vibe power, just go back to the enemy-spawning pipe

This is the granddaddy of coins right here. Right when you start, begin
sliding, but jump and Floatbrella to the right. Jump on the Koopas in
succession to get them out of their shells (some will inhabit others' shells,
but that's okay). When you hit the last one, turn around and kill them all with
Perry. Fifty to seventy coins, easily. Cooler part? Jump over the pipe and do
the same to the row of Koopas. Coolest part? You can also go back and slaughter
the Koopas on the first side of the pipe. You can repeat this until you have as
many coins as you like. Skip the bottom part entirely (it's pointless). Drop to
the right and go down the pipe.
Jump the gap. The quicksand will make you sink slowly, but you can escape by
jumping repeatedly. If you fall to the bottom, nothing happens. When you reach
the water and the Sad Cheep Cheeps, use Joy to reach the giant trampoline above
you. Jump over the side and stand in the middle of the gushing water. Use Joy
to make it dwindle, then turn it off and free the first Toad. Jump back over
and continue.
At the end, you have no choice but to collect the Subrella ability, which
you'll probably have to use in the next area.
Yep. Use left and right to move Subrella left and right, and tap A to make it
ascend. Blow into the microphone to shoot an air bubble; this is your method of
attack. However, this is really a practice area more than anything, so head
right to the end of this area.
In this area, you will see many spots for you to drop down in. You'll end up
utilizing these to hide from the Big Chain Chomp who comes your way. He'll push
you, so get in a hole when you see him and make your way to the end.
The second Toad is a Rage away, just ahead. Joy the water down and avoid the
Volcano Plant's fire as you make your way to the top. Jump to the right and go
down the pipe.
Fall through the quicksand and collect Puzzle C Piece 5. Jump up and fall
through the quicksand on the far right. Free the final Toad, then fall through
the middle and enter the pipe.
The pink platforms with ! on it will inflate on one side when you land on it,
bouncing you away. It takes a bit of getting used to, but travelling across
them should be easy enough. You can also just Bowlbrella to the end and bounce
on the Sad Cheep to reach the goal a few steps after this.
Okay. Now that you never need to worry about coins again, go back and buy
everything that you haven't bought already (including Chargebrella, unless you
ignored me and bought it before this point). Also, from this point on, I'm
going to pretty much ignore coins, and I won't tell you to go out of your way
for coins anymore. 5-2 is by FAR the easiest and quickest way to get coins.
There is no argument.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Jump up to the top platform, hit the switch if you'd like, then run to the
right and hit the other switch. This will stop the waterfalls, letting you get
the 20 or so coins underneath. But since coins don't matter anymore (go to
5-2), just run off the edge and Floatbrella to the right. Jump up the platforms
and go down the pipe.
Go right and hit the switch, which causes the yellow platforms to appear. Go
right and jump to the top. Ride the topmost arrow. You'll see the first Toad
shortly, but you'll need to jump to the ledge he's on. Head back to the right
and ride the same arrow all the way. Stay near the left side of the arrow and
duck so you pass under the wall. Go up the LEFT PIPE (the one on the right is a
HUGE shortcut, and you miss a Toad). Go left and collect Puzzle C Piece 6, then
drop to the ground and head right. Jump up to the pipe here and enter.
The second Toad isn't far into this section. Run to the water spring, Joy it
down, go right, and free him. Not too hard at all. Jump back up to the top and
continue. Stay on the top path and go all the way right (bottom area's
pointless). Drop down and enter the pipe.
Dash right, straight to the end. Nothing of importance is here.
In this area you will see Mad Pokeys, which will extend themselves to five
instead of three. Take them out with Rage. Jump over them and dash to the end.
Start going down. When you kill the Piranha Plant, jump down so you're in the
left waterfall. You should bounce on a pink ! platform you saw earlier. Using
Floatbrella to keep your balance, bounce into the alcove in the wall. Gloom the
sand pillar away, and claim the final Toad.
Drop down and enter the pipe to enter a right-scrolling Subrella section.
If you want to do it again, jump up the pipe to your left, then jump up and go
down the pipe.
Jump up and then across the green platforms to three fragile platforms that you
can either walk across or just jump on and then off again to reach the goal.

Head right. When you get to the platform, slide under the wall. Use Perry to
hit the ball into the bricks to disintegrate them. Collect Puzzle C Piece 7 and
jump up to the pipe above.
When you get across the quicksand, use Joy to reach an almost out-of-sight
platform. Jump up the pipe to enter a scrolling area. Destroy the Pokeys with
Rage. When you get to the end, claim the first Toad, jump out, and drop
straight down. Continue. Avoid the Big Chain Chomp and go down the pipe at the
end.
Slide under the wall, break the blocks, and free the second Toad. Jump up and
go down the pipe.
Hit the blue ! block, then go up the ladder and run across. Hit the other !
block to stop the waterfalls. Drop down and find the final Toad just to your
left. Continue and go down the pipe.
Head right. Jump up the ladder, run until you can fall. Fall, go left, down the
pipe.
Hill Slide the Goombas, go right. Kill the Piranha Plants (careful of the Glad
one at the top) and go down the pipe.
Head right to the end of the level.

Head right. Sad Ravens can stun you with their cries... a Calm Lakitu is
nearby. Continue to the pipe.
Head right through a Big Chain Chomp section, laugh as the Nipper Plants get
killed off, and head right to another pipe.
Ignore the coin arrow pointing up. Instead, continue right. When you jump
across the gap with two platforms in it, use Joy and fly straight up to another
platform. Ride the arrow across to find the first Toad. Drop down and go all
the way right. Enter the pipe.
Go right and enter the pipe. Gloom the sand pillar and collect Puzzle C Piece
8. Go back up the pipe and left. Go down the ladder and follow the path down.
When you get to the bottom, go left to find the second Toad. Go back right and
enter the pipe.
Head right through the Subrella section.
As soon as you see Lakitu, kill him and hijack his cloud. Go up and right, and
up the pipe.
Fall down. There is a chance you will see the star enemy again. It is sleeping,
so walk up to it and give it a good whack. If you don't see it, go down the
pipe and then go down it again. Continue to do this until the star enemy shoes
up. Once you've whacked him, go down the pipe. Drop down into the quicksand. Go
left to the opening, and fall through. Gloom the sand pillar away and free the
final Toad.
Jump back into the pipe and head right to the level's end.

Your stylus game is the same as in Hoo's Wood, except you get to dodge spears
instead of brambles. Shouldn't be any harder.
Your boss this time around is none other than Gooper Blooper.
His four tentacles will try to grab you. Watch the ends to see which one is
coming at you. Avoid their grasp, then hit them with Perry or jump on them to
make Gooper Blooper retract them. When all four are retracted, Blooper will
spit ink and then expose his nose. When it flashes, strike it with Perry to
deal damage. While he's stunned, wash the ink away with Gloom. Do this three
more times. After the second hit, his tentacles will sometimes strike the
ground, temporarily stunning you if you're on the ground.
After the fourth hit, Gooper Blooper will put up a shield that will restore his
HP if left alone. Destroy it with Rage, and he will continue attack as normal.
Hit him again and he dies.
Watch the next part of Perry's dream. He is really starting to want to know the
meaning behind these dreams, but... once you've rested for a bit, we've got
enemies to fight! Gleam Glacier awaits!

fall down to the first Toad. Use Gloom to freeze the ground to your right.
Slide under the wall to free the second Toad. Head right to the pipe, then go
left under the path you just walked. Melt the ice obstacles with Rage and free
the final Toad. That was quick, wasn't it? Now go back to the pipe you passed.
Go left. When you see the three stationary platforms, drop into the hole and
walk right into the wall to find the score for Wavy Beach 2. Jump out, go to

Remember Wiggler's stylus challenge? Same thing.
Your boss is Blizzaurus. It can be tough if you're careless.
Blizzaurus is encased in ice. As such, it is immune to nearly all of your
attacks; you, however, don't have the same luxury. It will stomp the ground a
couple times, and then start summoning ice pillars. Stand in the area between
the pillars it summons. Once the pillars are in place, you will get a burst of
ice breath shot at you; this would be a good time to duck. Sometimes it will
just shoot the ice breath, and sometimes it'll charge after the ice pillars are
in place. Stay on your toes.
Once it's done breathing at you, he will charge you. You can jump _on_
Blizzaurus, but not _into_ Blizzaurus. The shattered pillars will drop
crystals. Once the boss crosses, activate Rage and sit in the boss' face for a
couple seconds. The ice will crack, dealing damage after three cracks. Quickly
shut off Rage and wait for some more pillars to restore the Vibe Gauge. Nail
Blizzaurus twice more.
After three hits, Blizzaurus will fly to the top of the screen, and revert to
its sprite form. This form, too, is encased in ice, but the premise of dealing
damage is the same. Three large icicles will drop into the ground, creating
platforms. You can whack them with Perry to make them drop crystals. Use these
platforms and Rage to break Blizzaurus' barrier, just like last time. It will
continuously shoot balls of energy at you, which aren't too hard to avoid.
Watch for when the boss stops moving, as that's when it's going to summon more
icicles to drop on your head. Break the barrier twice more to win.
Perry's dreams, volume six. Watch as Perry struggles to remember his past. It
appears that the strange merchant that found Perry on the side of the road is
the one that gave him to Toadsworth, who in turn entrusted him to Peach. Perry
now knows that he must return to his former self, but... you know the drill.

Head right. Watch out for Lakitu. When you get to the trampoline, fall down and
hold left to find a hidden pipe. Enter it.
Scoop the ball in front of you and jump up. Toss the ball into the switch, then
scoop it again. Carry it up the platforms on the right and throw it at another
switch to the left. More platforms appear. Follow the path right. Use Joy to
reach the next part when you come across the enemy pipe. Jump up the platforms
to find Puzzle D Piece 8. You will skip pretty much everything else in this
level if you drop down and enter the pipe, so you have two choices. One is to
go back to the beginning of this area, enter the pipe, use Joy to get back to
the main area, and continue as normal; the other is to exit the stage manually
and start over - you didn't go very far to get here in the first place.
Either way you choose, enter the pipe at the end of the starting area.
Jump up to the first Toad, which is again blocked by a cloud. Continue right.
After nearly every gap is an Annoying Flying Hammer Bro. Tread carefully and
make your way to the end.
Slide down and go right to the rising and falling green platforms. Use them to
reach the second Toad, which is blocked by - you guessed it - a cloud. Drop
straight down and use the rotating brown platforms and the lone balloon to
reach the pipe.
Drop down and jump the gaps. When you reach the giant bricks, fire a
Chargebrella shot at the switch. Well, that was fun. Oh well. Jump the gap and
run all the way to your right. Hit the arrow switch to reverse the wind. Jump
up the newly created platforms, then run to the other side of the pipe on the
right. Jump on it, then run and jump. Use Floatbrella to reach the other side;
the final Toad lies in front of you. Go back right and enter the pipe.
The next section is a scrolling Subrella section. Tap quickly to get through.

The stylus challenge is the same as level one. And it's just as easy. Remember?
Wait a second... that's not a Toad... is it? It looks like...yeah! It is! It's
Luigi! And this little guy is all that stands in your way? Psh.
Oh. Oh, hey. Well, he's not so little anymore, now is he? His name is Kamek,
but the Glossary refers to him as Giant Kamek because of his size. Despite his
large size, he's way easy to defeat. Check it out.
See the cloud? Jump on it. When it gets to the top of the screen, bust out some
Joy and spin Kamek's head. As soon as it starts spinning, you can turn the Joy
off. After a few seconds of spinning, Kamek will get dizzy. Jump on his head to
deal damage. Do this twice more.
After three hits, the cloud will vanish and Kamek will constantly cry. Joy
yourself up to his head to spin it. Rise high above Kamek's head and shut down
Joy when he gets dizzy to damage him. Do this one more time and he will die.
Kamek has two attacks. One is to fire magic at you from his wand, which will
increase in number depending on his battle tactics (how close he is to death).
The other is to summon a number of tiny versions of himself, all of which will
fly across the screen rather slowly. Some of these carry crystals, which you
can use to refill the Vibe Gauge.
Yeah, we got Luigi back! Peach is so excited, she tosses him 10 feet!
Perry's dream, part seven. All the missing pieces are filled in - we now know
who Perry was, where he came from, how he ended up being turned into an
umbrella, and exactly how Toadsworth ended up with him.
"Bowser's evil...
Enough talking, already! The last battle will soon begin!"
Couldn't have said it better myself, Perry. The final area, Bowser's Villa, is
dead ahead. Get going.

Apparently, the fact that we've rescued Luigi (YEAH!) means nothing, because he
doesn't show up anywhere. There's only one new item for sale, and it's the
score for Giddy Sky 1. Guess what that means? It's the beginning of the end!

One of the first things you should notice is the giant spiked ball swinging
back and forth between the foreground and background. Call it a hunch, but you
should probably do your best to avoid it. But that's just me. :)
Sad Dry Bones is back, and just as easy to defeat. Rage to the face. The ones
here you should be able to just whack 'em and run past. They're small potatoes.
Head down the pipe at the end. Careful of the spinning fireballs, they are
spinning in the opposite direction of your jump.
Enter the door on the right, then jump to the one on the far left. Jump over
the help block and enter the door on the left.
If you'll look to your left, you'll notice a HUMONGOUS THWOMP in the
background. It will flutter its eyes for a second or two, open them, glance
about, then shut them again. When its eyes are about to open, make sure Peach
is standing. If you aren't standing when the Thwomp's eyes are looking from
side to side, you will be sucked into its mouth and you'll have to start from
where you entered the room. Everything in the room will be frozen in place
while the Thwomp's eyes move, so make sure you are standing. Move into the next
area.
This area is the same as before, except you now must be ducking when the Thwomp
moves its eyes. Head right to the next area. Be careful of the Hammer Bro,
because if he strikes you while you're preparing your ducking, you won't be
ducking anymore. Guess what happens then? :)
This next one's a little tricky. You must be floating when the Thwomp's eyes
move. A couple Hammer Bros are there to screw with you, but it shouldn't be too
hard. Move to the next area.
Wait for the fireballs to go into the wall, then quickly run and slide to dodge
them. Claim the first (!) Toad, and enter the nearby door.
Enter the door on your left. Run, run, and don't stop running. Jump when you
need to, but don't stop running. Slide under the wall to find the second Toad.
Enter the door, then enter the door on the right. Now enter the one directly to
your left. The area it takes you to scrolls right, rather quickly. Stay on your
toes. The final Toad is at the end of this section.
Enter the door to your left now and enter the far right door. Enter the top
left door, then go down the ladder and enter the bottom door. Be careful of the
Hammer Bro here. Use Joy to go straight up to reach another door. Enter it,
then go up a ladder to reach yet another door. Slide under the left wall and
enter the pipe.
Run right. Hit the switch. Fall, go right, and hit the switch. Go left and hit
the switch. Now go right. Hit the switch and go left. Drop down and enter the
pipe.
The score for Giddy Sky 2 is guarded by two Hammer Bros. The end of this
godforsaken level is just after that.
Wow. Talk about long levels.

This area scrolls up, so move quickly and don't fall behind. At the top of this
area, enter the door.
Kill the Calm Chain Chomp with some Rage, then go right. When you get to the
switch, use Joy and fly up and to the left. Run left and hit the switch at the
end. Fall between the moving blocks and save the first Toad here. Quickly jump
back to where you were before you get trapped. If you don't make it, come back
here anyway. Joy straight up to the area above and continue right. When you get
to a point where you must drop, hit the nearby switch and drop. Run as fast as
you can left and get into the area at the bottom with the door. If you fail,
Joy yourself back up to the switch and try again. Enter the door.
More run, run, and don't stop running. When you pass the five Thwomps, watch
out for the swinging spike ball. Enter the door.
Follow the path. Go up the stairs and up the ladder. When you get to the top,
jump left to find some spikes and spinning fireballs. Jump on the fireballs
block when they are down and quickly jump to the platform where the second Toad
is trapped. Jump all the way right and continue. More fireballs are here, so
don't be too hasty. Jump up the blue platforms and enter the door.
Jump right and hit the switch. Get on the block and jump to the upper right
platform. Collect Puzzle D Piece 9. Drop to the platform below and get a
running start. Floatbrella to the other side to claim the final Toad. Drop back
down to the door and enter it. Then, run, drop all the way down, and head left
to another door.
Use the Spinies and Paratroopa to refill the Vibe Gauge. You will come across a
giant iron ball and a wall. The help block says to run as fast as you can at
it, so bust out the tears. Break a hole in the wall and continue.
Run and scoop the Cannon. Take it with you up the steps and toss it straight up
to hit the switch, then continue right. Drop down and jump the donut bricks to
reach yet another door.
Blue Podoboos will jump from the blue lava and follow you. Lure them to the two
torches to open the door.
After three fragile platforms over some spikes, the end of the level appears.

Immediately activate Gloom and run. Don't stop. Super-fast blindfolded Boos are
after you. When you get to the light, you can shut Gloom off as the Boos will
be vaporized. Down the pipe.
Follow the path. Use the rotating spiked platform to reach the upper path. When
you come across a second one, jump right to the blue platforms and use them to
reach the first Toad. Then go left past a bunch of Thwomps to reach a pipe.
Complete the Slidebrella section, then literally fall to the second Toad.
Ascend now, avoiding the fireballs. Then descend to the right, still avoiding
the fireballs. Those big coins are just over a sea of Sad Spinies, so be
careful. Go right and then up using the rotating spiked platforms. At the top,
next to the help block, Poundbrella through the gray blocks and drop to claim
Puzzle D Piece 10. Jump back up and enter the door.
Just like in 8-1, be ducking when the huge Thwomp moves its eyes about. A few
Paratroopas are here to mess you up. Move on to the next area.
Turn on Rage and leave it on - many big crystals will help keep the Vibe Gauge
filled, and a couple Boos are in here, who will be burned away by the flames.
Follow the path to the pipe.
Bowser's fireballs have always had the ability to burn underwater... complete
this fairly easy Subrella section.
Use the spiked platform to reach the top of the block, then jump from the blue
donut bricks as you land on them to reach the final Toad. Fall down and enter
the door.
Lure the blue Podoboos to the four torches and enter the door that opens.
Don't drop down, but simply make your way right to the level's end.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 8-4 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Slidebrella like you've never seen it before - over liquid hot lava! Don't let
it intimidate you - it's as easy as ever. Complete this section and head right
into a Subrella section. Complete it to enter the main part of the level.
Be on your guard here. After a few seconds, two purple claw-like things will
emerge from the side of the screen at wherever Peach is at. They will rush at
you after about a second after appearing, so jump (or drop down if you're in
mid-air) to avoid their grasp. If you get caught, you take 1/2 heart in damage.
Run quickly to the blocks which are blocking a pipe. Break them and enter.
Avoid hitting any of the room-rotating blocks. Just drop down and head left to
a pipe.
Continue right. See him? You gotta keep going and go underneath the spike
balls. Use Floatbrella to get to the other side. Claim the first Toad. Now
backtrack to the room where the purple claws grab you and go to the very end of
the area, where another pipe awaits.
Go all the way right and hit the block. Now go right and hit the block. Go left
and hit the block, then jump up the platforms to reach another block. Head into
the pipe.
Jump up and save the second Toad, and then get started on Slidebrella. Use
little jumps.
When you are finished, get in the balloon and fire up some Rage. Make your way
to the top on the left side and claim the final Toad.
Jump up and enter the door on the left.
Follow the path. When you start going left, go all the way left to find Puzzle
D Piece 11. They are on fragile platforms, so jump or walk, but don't run. Go
back to where you saw the big heart and big crystal and use that stone to reach
the next part. Run to a door.
Drop down through the fireballs and end this level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 8-5 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
The first thing you'll notice is that this area scrolls right.
With that said, this area can be tough. It scrolls fast, gives you donut bricks
to walk on, and Paratroopas to cross gaps. Add in the fact that this area is
laced with fireballs, and it can give a player trouble for sure. Just keep a
clear head and don't move _too_ quickly, but stay alert. Enter the door when
you reach it.
Go left and into a door. Follow the path (purple grab claws are here) to
another door. Head right to the end of this area to encounter the first Toad.
Jump off the cliff just a little and drop down. You should land on the platform
with the first door you came out of. Go right. Use the spiked platforms to
reach the stone blocks that move. Jump to the right and enter a door.
More super-fast Boos will chase you. It's a long but easy area to complete.
There is a large gap you need to jump at the end of some blue donut bricks, so
watch for it. Enter the door.
Jump on the small block, then the large one on the left. Go left to get Puzzle
D Piece 12, then continue right. When you come across the second Paratroopa,
you should be able to see the second Toad, but if you drop, you'll fall to your
doom. Instead, just jump over the wall and then fall to him, where you can
stand next to him. Save him and continue.
This looks familiar. Drop down and work your way right again. Go straight up
and use the brown rotating platforms to reach another door.
In this room, you need to light the torches. There are eight in total. Once you
light the ones on the left side of the moving block, run to the right where you
can find another bit of lava that will spew forth blue Podoboos. Once they are
all lit, head right and enter the door.
Be airborne when the Thwomp moves his eyes. Make your way to the end.
Finally, we emerge on the side of the final Toad. Claim him and ride the block
as high as you can so you can jump over the wall. Run to the door.
Run and jump as far left as you can. Use Floatbrella. Jump over eight gaps and
fall into the next hole. Enter the pipe.
Dispose of the Calm Hammer Bro, Floatbrella over the gap, and end the level.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* BOSS STAGE 8-6 BOSS STAGE *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
If you haven't saved every Toad in the entire game, you're not going anywhere.
If you've been following this walkthrough, you should have them all. If not, go
to the Area Map and find out where you're missing some Toads. Come back once
you have them all.
Sadly, the stylus challenge is the same as 3-6. Wipe the Boos with the stylus.
You've got two bosses to defeat. The first is the Hammer Bro with the black
shell we met in the beginning of the game. The game calls him Army Hammer Bro.
Bowser increases his strength using the Vibe Scepter. This couldn't be easier.
Don't bother with the Hammer Bros that are above you. Just run until you find
him, whacking anything that has the misfortune of being in front of you. Once
you find him, hit him. He'll jump away, but you can follow him and whack him
again if he jumps close enough. Hit him five times to defeat him. He will
summon more Hammer Bros as you kill them, but ignore them unless they get in
your way.
Now that the joke's out of the way, time for the real battle, against none
other than Bowser himself.
Bowser has a multitude of attacks. The first is to toss hammers in the air that
will rain down on you. It isn't that hard to avoid.
Another is to jump and exhale a continuous stream of fire, which can be avoided
by ducking.
A third attack is to charge to the other side of the screen, which can be
dodged by jumping over him. The statues have crystals in it, though, so you may
want to just wait on top of the statue so he breaks it, then just avoid the
attack he does next.
Bowser's fourth move is to jump in the air over your current position, drop
down, and send shockwaves out from either side. This can be dodged by jumping.
A fifth move is to shoot a stream of fire at you, which can be avoided by
jumping.
Bowser's final attack in his arsenal is to shoot a drop of fire at you. Once it
hits the ground, it will turn into a pillar of fire.
Now, how do you damage him? Like I've said before, if nothing else works, use
Rage. And Rage you shall. Fire it up and get in his face. Hit him twice to deal
damage. Every time you damage him after the second time, he will use the Vibe
Scepter to attack somehow.
On the second hit, Bowser will get happy and do the fourth move I listed, five
times. Then he resumes attack as normal.
Hit him three times and Bowser will cry, toss hammers in the air, and then jump
off screen. It's like the first move I listed, but these hammers are HUGE and
can be tough to avoid.
Before you hit him once more, make sure the Vibe Gauge and your HP are both
filled. There are two emotions left for Bowser to abuse. One is Calm, and the
other is Rage. Guess which one he's gonna use next.
Hit him a fourth time and Bowser will use the Vibe Scepter to go nuts; if you
guessed Rage, you're right. His speed is doubled and fires off multiple attacks
at once. One may say it's not even fair, but if you can hit him with Rage
again, you got this battle beat.
...Just kidding. Guess Bowser's not giving up that easily.
Bowser's got all new attacks this time around, which include:
- Slamming a claw on the ground to make small spiked balls fall. Easy to dodge.
- Summoning a circle of hammers that fly in separate directions. Easy to dodge.
- Shooting a fireball from his mouth. Easy to dodge if you keep moving.
- Slamming both claws on the ground to drop Bob-ombs. Use these to replenish
the Vibe Gauge.
When Bowser gives you Bob-ombs, eat all except one. This is so you don't get
nailed by the other Bob-ombs walking around. Scoop it and wait right under
Bowser's head. When it's about to explode, toss it straight up to his face. If
it explodes near his eyes, he will take damage.
After hitting him once, he gains a new attack: gather energy, then shoot three
spiraling fireballs to the front of the screen. Move to the side to avoid it.
After hitting him twice, the hammers he summons will fly faster, which makes
them a little harder to dodge. He'll also shoot two fireballs from his mouth.
Strike him three times to unlock another move. Bowser's eyes will glow red and
he will breathe a huge stream of fire that is tough to dodge. Stay on the move.
After four hits, he will summon the Vibe Scepter. Remember when I said Bowser
never used Calm? Guess what. The Vibe Scepter will put a pink shield around
Bowser's head, which will restore his HP! If you sit there, Bowser will
regenerate to full HP. He will put this barrier up every time his HP drop to 1.
As soon as the shield comes up, bust it with Rage. Bowser will then continue
his attack. He gains one final attack; the ability to perform the attack he
gains after you hit him once, three times.
Toss a Bob-omb in his face just once more and you win. For real this time.
You get to see one more example of Luigi being abused before the game ends. I
hope you're happy.
Make sure you sit through the credits! You get some cool stuff now!
=============================
12. Princess Peach's Postgame [200hp]
=============================
Now that you've thwarted Bowser, a number of things have happened.
* You have unlocked Peach's final ability, Dashbrella. This hot move lets you
mash B and swing Perry while you run, mowing down anything in your way.
Sweet.
* Toad, on drums, is now a member of the Peach Hit Five. Sometime after
collecting more music scores, you will gain another Toad on guitar. And
sometime yet still after that, you get yet another Toad, playing yet another
guitar, to complete the band.
* You can buy the score for Bowser Villa 1 in the shop.
* Area 1 now has three additional levels to be completed. Don't go there just
yet. I'll be tackling each area in a systematic fashion - you'll be there
soon enough.
To unlock extra stages for the rest of the areas, you must defeat that stage's
boss again. It doesn't matter if you beat them 100 times before you beat the
game; to unlock more levels, you need to do it once more. A couple bosses have
new tricks this time around, and I will be covering them in their appropriate
section, found below.
Defeating a boss (after you defeat the boss again in the post game) yields 100
coins for each defeat.
The format will be slightly different. Since you've been through the first six
levels of every area, I don't need to walk you through them again (I will be
providing details for the new levels in each world, however). If you are having
trouble finding a piece or anything else, you can refer to that stage in the
walkthrough above. By following those directions, you can still find each and
every piece, note, and mini-game stage (you haven't forgotten about those, have
you?). You'll notice that all the stars have been removed from all the levels.
This is because that instead of Toads, puzzle pieces and music scores wait for
you to find them. They aren't necessarily in the same spots as the Toads were,
but most are.
Each level has two puzzle pieces for you two find. The exception to this is
stage 8-5; that level has three pieces. The first four levels of each world
will also have a music score for you to find. Level 5 in each world has no
music score. This is true for all worlds. Once you've met your quota for that
level, you can exit the level manually; you'll still get your star showing
you've found everything.
The three new stages in each world aren't very big. In fact, some of them are
even shorter than 1-1. Each contains only one thing for you to find, whether it
be a puzzle piece or mini-game stage. Keep in mind that _these_ levels you have
to beat to get the star, since you've never been there.
Let's get started, shall we?
====================
13. Ladida Plains PG [lppg1]
====================
First, I will provide a list of the first six stages, what pieces they hold,
and what music score (if any) they hold. Then, below that, will be strategies
for the new boss tactics of stage 6 in each level (if any). Finally, I will
cover the three new areas in detail, just like I've done for every level you've
done so far. Are you with me? If not, just take a look below.

Watch out for the occasional Sad Spiny. Make your way to the end.
It's the game from 1-5... great. The order is blue, purple, blue, purple, red.
Fortunately, it's only once. A Sad Nipper Plant will be there to screw you up,
but you can lure him near the edge so you don't accidentally hit the wrong
flower. Between the ferris wheel and the pipe that comes up is nothing but
coins.
Continue right. Something is here! There are Mad Spikes about, but they are
easy to deal with. Watch for the Big Chain Chomp to fall, then follow it.
Another one will drop behind you, essentially trapping you between them. This
is okay. Just keep moving. When you are free of them, burn the bridge and claim
your first prize of the new levels: Puzzle G Piece 18. ...Wow. Talk about out
of order. At the top of the hill, jump to the yellow blocks. When you see the
two Big Chain Chomps fall to their doom, float over the gap to the level's end.

you just went down. Hit this last switch and enter the pipe. Now go all the way

Ride the spear across and go up the ladder. Head left, Rage the bats away, and
hit the switch. Go all the way right, Poundbrella to the bottom, and enter the

Head right. When you get to the Calm Lakitu, kill him and take his cloud. Move

Wait for them to pass before you jump to their platforms.
When you get to the switch block, wait for the Hothead to pass you, then fall.
Immediately use Joy and hit the switch from below, then get back up before your
Vibe Gauge depletes. Go right, drop down, spin the water wheel with Gloom, and
enter the pipe.
Watch out for the very fast-moving new enemy, Mad Bullet Bill! Go as far right
as you can. Joy the cloud away, hit the switch, then go left until you can
fall. Do so and go down the pipe.

Light the four torches and enter the door at the lower right.
Sad Ravens can only stun you with their cries while you are groundborne. Stay

This room is full of spikes, so if you fall, quickly move back to the beginning
to minimize damage taken. Glad Fangs are in here, and their only purpose is to
rush you and knock you back to the beginning. Instead of going to them, let
them come to you and simply whack them. Use the spike platforms to reach the

Floatbrella to the pipe.
The next section is a Slidebrella one, but wait before you go having fun. Once
you get to the end, get ready to cry; once you come out of the pipe, you've got
about half a second - maybe - to turn on Gloom and start running. Don't stop
crying until you get to the light. Only jump from the platforms when you are
next to the spike at the end, or you won't make it. Stop at any time and you'll
get hit. Fall down and you'll probably get hit, too. Right near the end you

you reach the top, go left and hit the switch. Go right a little, scoop the
Hammer Bro, and toss him into the switch above you. Continue right. You can
either take your lumps by jumping into the spikes and strike the switch
yourself before landing, or fire a Chargebrella shot at it. With all three
switches pressed, the waterfalls have stopped and you can now progress. Drop
back down and go right. You will shortly come across two small platforms. Use
Joy to reach the platform above, where Puzzle H Piece 23 awaits. End of the
level is right past that.

This section scrolls right... really slow, really easy. Yawn.
Nothing of interest is here. Move to the end.
Head right to the end of this area. Scoop the Koopa and toss him up into the
switch. The platforms will vanish, leaving gaps. Stand near the hovering Puzzle
H Piece 24 and use Joy. Drop down to claim it, then float to safety. The end.

Go left and hit the switch, then continue right. Stand under the highest blue
platform to the right of the pipe, jump and fire a Chargebrella shot at another
switch to make platforms appear. Make use of them. Back on solid ground, face
left and Poundbrella the ball to you. Toss it at the switch and bounce into the
pipe.
Head right to the end. There are ice ramps on each platform, so watch for them.
Not counting the pipe you emerge from, count five pipes and enter it. Collect
Toad Jump Level 8 and enter the pipe.
Jump right as far as you can go, being careful not to fall. Head all the way to
the last pipe and fall to the left of it. Enter it and go right to the end.

Head right to the end. The wind will change directions on you at random, so be
careful and time your jumps accordingly. Floatbrella really helps here.
Do Subrella. Follow the path to the rock, Rage it down to find Toad Tote Level
8. Rage the ice blocks, go down the ladder, and right to the end.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Head right to the end. Stay high. When you reach the hill with the Goombas,
slide down them. Jump and hold right and A when you reach the coin arrow to
cross the huge gap and reach the pipe.
Break the block, then go over the ice blocks and break the other one. Go back
to the beginning of this area and freeze the ground. It takes some time to do
since Peach's tears will barely hit the ground. Hit the pink block back and
forth until all the ice bricks are gone. Hit the switch and go down the pipe on
the right.
Use Joy to bring yourself over the huge pipe. Bounce on the ball and follow it
right. Bounce on it occasionally to make it cross the tiny bumps in the path.
Be careful not to get chomped by Piranha Plants. At the end, bounce to reach
Toad Shot Level 8 and the end of this level.

Head right to the end. Use a Red Koopa to take care of the first two Piranha
Plants; you'll have to use Perry to kill the third.
Go left. Gloom the sprout and use the vine to reach some clouds. Use those to
reach platforms, and use those to reach the pipe to the northwest of you.
This area scrolls right fairly quickly, so be careful not to fall; you might
get crushed by a pipe or run out of Vibe power if you try using Joy to save
yourself. Collect Toad Jump Level 9 and enter the far right pipe.
Have your fill of coins and end this level.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...
Go as far left as you can go and hit the switch. Continue right, staying high.
Don't let the wind carry you, as it will usually carry you to your doom. Use
Joy to save yourself if you fall down.
Jump up the platforms made by the switch you hit and go right to the pipe.
Those pink ! platforms are here, and they will stop your jump and send you
flying to the side. Use Joy if you get frustrated. When you fall, hold right
and slash the block between the two pipes, then use Joy to break through the
bricks above you - it's far easier than trying to slam into them using the
trampoline. Continue right. couple of Sad Paragoombas are in your way. Take
them out and then jump up to the next area. Poundbrella through the
Paratroopas, go right, and bust your way into the blocks. Create steps for
yourself to reach the pipe (using the trampoline is okay too).
Head right. Every time you see a gap, a Big Chain Chomp will fall. Be careful,
especially towards the end, where you have barely any room to stand. Collect
Toad Tote Level 9 and end this level.

Use the vines to reach the end. Watch for Mad Paratroopas.
Don't change the direction of the wind. When you reach the second switcher,
wait for the wind to blow as fast as it go (you'll hear a change in the noise)
before you continue. Run, jump, and float, and you should barely make it. If
you don't, use Joy to get yourself up there.
Go right a little. Run and slide under the pipe to collect Toad Shot Level 9.
Level's end is right after that.

Purple claw things are here. Head right, avoiding fireballs. Fill your HP and
your Vibe Gauge using the two enemy pipes, then use Joy to go between the
fireballs. I find it easier to go up the left side. Go up the pipe.
There are plenty of crystals around, so don't feel bad about firing up Rage and
letting it stay on. Move to the end.
More moving to the end. Watch out for the occasional Bullet Bill and overall
lack of walking space. Right before the end of the level, pick up Toad Jump
Level 10.

===============================
Stuff that you can do apart from killing things, and closing up this document.
If you've passed every level of every mini-game, collected every piece of every
puzzle, defeated every enemy at least once, and have every music score in the
game, you can buy Endless Vibe for a whopping zero coins (yeah, that's right,
it's free). With it, your Vibe Gauge will never decrease. How completely and
totally useless now that you are 100% done with the game. If you go to the
Bonus section (where you watch Perry's dreams), you can toggle the endless
Vibe Gauge on and off.
