Is it normal to have little white clumps on a peach stone?

I just cut one open, and there were little white things on the peach pit. They arent alive...it resembles tiny clumps of parmesan cheese. Has anyone ever had this before, and is it safe to eat?

I know I never questioned the pit flick it out and enjoy or fix ti for pie why would I look at the pit???
