Peach muffins?

I put peaches in a plain muffin mix, and I keep adding more time to the baking but it looks still liquid. Do I keep adding time? Whats causing that? is it the peaches?

Peach muffins?
Dont add peaces untl its done.Or chop them up.
Reply:raise the temp to the oven check often if that does not cook them you may haft to take little flour spoon full at a time stir with a tooth pick return them to normal tempature oven
Reply:butter the pan and bake peach slices alone until surface is dried up then chop them up into the size your prefer and mix them into the muffin mix.

for a sweeter taste; sprinkle some sugar onto the peaches before baking.
Reply:Are they fresh peaches? Or canned. Canned ones hold alot of moisture and need to be drained completely. Using dried fruit has a more predictable outcome and does not effect the moisture level of your muffins. You could decrease the amount of liquid in the recipe by 1/4 cup.But after the fact, you may want to decrease the oven temperature by 25 degrees to allow it cook more evenly and cook a little longer. But watch them carefully. How much peaches did you put in with the mix? Is the mix like a Jiffy mix? Or a full size muffin mix? If you have not baked all of the batter yet , try adding some flour 1/4 cup to start, then bake a few. If the batter isn't thick , it needs more dry ingredients.
Reply:They are probably too moist. I often use dried fruit such as apricots.
Reply:If you add fresh or canned peaches, you need to reduce the amount of water you add to the mix. It's going to look uncooked because you need to bake out most of the moisture to make them dry to fluff up.
